Curate Sydney has been upholstering, restoring and fitting out furniture from our Marrickville workshop for more than 20 years. If it has a frame and a fabric, we can rebuild it — for homes, restaurants, hotels, offices and superyachts.
Reupholstery and furniture restoration
A well-made frame outlasts its fabric several times over. We strip pieces back, repair or replace webbing, springs and foam, and reupholster in the fabric of your choice. Antique and mid-century pieces, family heirlooms, and tired but structurally sound sofas are all worth restoring rather than replacing. We also re-cover dining chairs, ottomans, bed heads and outdoor cushions.
Commercial fit-outs
Banquette seating, booth seating, bar stools and custom lounge furniture for cafes, restaurants, hotels and offices. We work to architect and designer drawings and build to a schedule. Past clients include the Emirates First Class Lounge, Christian Louboutin and Qantas.
Marine and yacht interiors
Superyacht and boat interiors — helm seating, saloon lounges, berths and cushions — made in marine-grade foam and outdoor-rated fabric, templated to the vessel.
Wallpaper
Supply and installation of wallpaper for feature walls and full rooms, measured and hung by our team.
Interior design
If you need help pulling a room together — fabric, colour, layout, proportion — our interior design service works alongside the making, so what gets specified is what gets built.
