Coffee table sizing
A coffee table generally wants to be about two-thirds the length of the sofa it serves, with 40 to 45cm of walking space between the two. Height should sit level with, or just below, the sofa's seat cushion.
Console tables
Console tables suit entryways, hallways and the back of a floating sofa — anywhere you need a surface without giving up floor area.
Side tables
A side table should sit roughly at the height of the chair arm beside it. Nested and round side tables work well in tight rooms because there are no corners to catch on the way past.
