Arms or no arms
Chairs with arms read as more generous and are more comfortable to linger in, but they take more width and often will not tuck under the table. A common answer is arms on the two ends and armless chairs down the sides.
Measure the tuck
Before ordering, check the height from the floor to the underside of your table apron. A chair whose seat or arms will not clear it is a chair that lives permanently pulled out.
How many will fit
Allow roughly 60cm of table edge per person, and about a metre of clear floor behind each chair so people can get in and out. That clearance, rather than the table length, usually decides how many chairs a room takes.
