Custom Lounges

Curate Sydney has been making custom lounges in Marrickville for over 20 years. Every sofa is built to your dimensions — your seat depth, your back height, your arm style, your fabric. If your room has an awkward corner, a bay window, or a doorway that will not take a standard three-seater, that is exactly the problem custom solves.

What we build

Modular and corner lounges. Chaise and curved chaise lounges. Chesterfields. Slim arm and low-profile sofas. Sofa beds. Single seaters and occasional chairs to match. Banquette and bench seating built into the room.

Made to your measurements

A standard sofa is made to a standard body. Custom means you choose the seat depth (shallow for upright sitting, deep for lounging), seat height, back height, arm width and profile, cushion fill, and leg style and finish. Tall clients get a longer seat; small rooms get a sofa that fits the wall exactly.

Frames, fill and fabric

Hardwood frames, jointed and braced, built to last decades rather than years. Seat cushions in high-density foam, foam-wrapped feather, or full feather depending on how firm you want the sit. Fabrics range across linens, textured weaves, velvets, bouclés, leathers and performance fabrics rated for pets and kids. Bring your own fabric if you have already sourced it.

Process

1. Tell us your room dimensions and how you want to sit. We can visit if the space is complicated.
2. We quote, then draw the piece to scale.
3. You choose fabric and legs.
4. We build it in our Sydney workshop.
5. We deliver, place it, and take the packaging away.
